What Is Vestibular Neuritis?
Imagine waking up one morning and the world won’t stop spinning—you can’t stand straight, your stomach turns, and even small head movements make you dizzy.
That sudden, severe vertigo lasting for hours or even days may be due to VestibularNeuritis—aninflammationofthevestibularnerve,thebalancesignal carrier between the inner ear and brain.

How It Happens—The Science Behind the Spin
Vestibular Neuritis is thought to be caused by a viral infection or post-viral inflammationofthevestibularnerve—commonlyafteracold,flu,orupper respiratory infection.
What It Feels LikeVestibularNeuritistypicallybeginssuddenly,oftenovernightoruponwaking.
Common symptoms include:
Severe,constantvertigo(spinningsensation)lastingdays Nausea and vomiting
Unsteady gait or falls Difficultyfocusing(oscillopsia)
